YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy.
A clear account of what the DailyMate website and app handle, where information lives, and how to reach us.
This policy covers both the product website and the DailyMate mobile app. The website's interactive budget preview stays in your browser; it does not submit the values you enter to us.
1. Who operates DailyMate
DailyMate is owned and operated by BuildingDots, based in Jagadhri, Yamunanagar, Haryana, India. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean BuildingDots in its operation of DailyMate.
For privacy questions or requests, write to info@dailymate.org.
2. Information we handle
Website
When you visit this website, our hosting and security systems may process standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, request time, and pages requested. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include. The budget preview's slider values are calculated in your browser and are not sent to our service.
Account and sign-in
When you use the app, our account service may store your name, email address, optional phone number, preferred currency, sign-in method, email-verification status, and account settings. We also process authentication tokens and related security records. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the identity information needed to verify that sign-in.
App and device
The app can keep accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, people balances, schedules, warranties, notes, and attachments in an on-device database. If you enable notifications, our service may keep device identifiers, platform and app details, and a push token. With your device permission and a feature you choose to use, the app may access a selected contact, a photo or document, the camera, or your location. Location lookup may involve your device's location or map provider.
If a paid subscription feature is offered, the payment provider handles checkout and we may receive subscription status and billing references. We do not ask you to enter payment-card details into this website.
3. How we use information
- Provide your account, authenticate sign-ins, and maintain account security.
- Deliver requested app features, device notifications, and support.
- Process subscription status when a paid feature is used.
- Respond to your messages, investigate problems, and protect the service from abuse.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not use the website's budget-preview values to build a profile about you. We do not sell personal information.
4. On-device and server storage
DailyMate currently stores the app's financial workspace in a local database on your device. Account, authentication, device, and any applicable subscription records are handled by our backend services. Login credentials are kept using the operating system's protected credential storage where supported.
Deleting local app data removes data from that device, but does not by itself mean that your backend account or records held by third-party providers have been deleted. Likewise, removing the app from one device may not close your account. Contact us if you want to request account-data deletion.
6. Retention and deletion
On-device finance information remains until you edit or remove it, delete local data, or remove the app and its data through your device. Server-side account and security records are retained while needed to operate the account, resolve issues, meet legal obligations, and protect against misuse. Different records may have different retention needs.
To request access, correction, or deletion of server-side account information, email info@dailymate.org. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law requires or permits it.
7. Your choices
You can manage app records, notification preferences, and supported device permissions in the app or your device settings. You may stop using optional contact, camera, photo, location, or notification features without losing access to the rest of the product. You can also contact us about your personal information and applicable privacy rights.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information involved, including account authentication and device-protected credential storage. No website, mobile device, or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and account credentials, and let us know if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Governing law and updates
BuildingDots operates DailyMate from India. This policy is interpreted under applicable laws of India, including applicable data-protection requirements, subject to any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be limited. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the latest published version.
